Field Company
Field Company set out to recreate the light, satin-smooth cast iron of a century ago. Founded in 2017 by brothers Stephen and Chris Muscarella, its skillets are cast in Wisconsin from recycled American iron and machined and finished in Indiana — a modern take on a vintage ideal, made entirely in the USA.

American Manufacturing
Verified: July 2026
Field cast iron is poured at a foundry in Wisconsin from recycled U.S. iron using traditional green-sand casting, then shipped to a finishing shop in Indiana where the cooking surface is machined smooth. It is genuinely made in the USA start to finish, with no coatings and no PFAS. We verified this against the manufacturer and independent press.
The Story
The Muscarella brothers launched Field Company in 2017 after studying antique Griswold and Wagner pans, aiming to bring back the lighter, smoother cast iron that fell out of mass production after mid-century. Rather than build a foundry, they partnered with established American casting and machining shops, keeping every step of production domestic while focusing on design and finish.
